Welcome to my gallery, where you can see artwork that i've been doing over the last 5 years in various different mediums. I've been told my style is semi-abstract,it's either that or I'm asked what medication I'm on!!! Generally I use bright colours and designs in my pictures of creatures, wildlife and the human form predominantly the face or hands.

My name is Liam Machell, I was born in Reading, England in 1980. At the age of five i moved to Co.Down in N.Ireland where I stayed until 1995 when I moved to Harare, Zimbabwe to live with my father and complete my secondary schooling. It was here that I started doing small designs with felt pens and after a visit to N.Ireland, small pictures with pearlescent ink.In 1999 I returned to N.Ireland and continued my acrylic ink work which steadily increased in size. In 2000 I moved to Stirling, Scotland to go to university, where my artwork stopped due to the pressures of student life and bar opening times. In 2003 after leaving university I restarted Acrylic ink work again, and In 2004 moved to Edinburgh, where I began to explore other mediums such as oil pastel, silk painting, acrylics and my black and white pictures which I am still doing to date.
